Hp Scan To Network Folder Wizard Download
Hi Everyone,
Our HP LaserJet M4345 is failing to connect to our network folder. This is a first fourth dimension scan folder setup.
Using the printer'south spider web interface, I configured the settings. Enabled send to binder. Entered the network path \\server\file share\scans Verified folder access successfully from the web interface using domain authentication.
However, at the printer, when I click on the scan folder and Start, I become the following error: Verify admission failed. The binder is not accessible.
How do verify folder access from the printer?
Have you tried using the IP of the server or the FQDN?

I would start by verifying the path and credentials on a organization on the network. This way yous tin can verify the direct path yous put into the printer configuration, and the verbal credentials you are using.
Good luck!
Sounds like it is showing upward equally read-only, verify it from a computer while signed in as the user whose credentials you used - so "run" and type "\\server\file share\scans"
If that works, then try to actually copy a file to it. If that fails, check share and NTFS permissions...

Hi Everyone, thanks for the replies.
First I tried what chmod0777 suggested.
From the start carte du jour on a windows workstation I typed "run" and then the path name \\server\file share\scans and I could connect. I could also drop a txt document there.
And so I added the Full Qualified Domain Name as Sean Donnelly suggested. Changing the path from \\server\file share\scans to \\server.domainname.local\hare\scfile sans. Test from the printer and was able to send scans.
Solution:
Entered Fully Qualified Domain Name equally the path in the printer'due south spider web interface settings.
LaserValley Technologies is an It service provider.
If you are using domain hallmark there are 2 ways this is washed on the HP. You tin can force users to login with their Domain credentials at the control panel or you can employ what HP refers to as Public Credentials (our clients often create a user called scanner who only has access to that folder.
Also brand sure that your DNS settings are correct as the organisation will sometimes exam ok from the Embedded webserver but not from the command console if the DNS is wrong or missing.
So did you cake any pdf or picture on your file server ?
Is your share from a Windows Server? If so, what version? There is a Windows update that kills this feature. I ran into this several times before. Removed the update and all was well. (KB#3161949)
